Course Outline:

• Foundations: Materials science (steel, aluminum), measuring, marking out and safety PPE.

• Cutting & Preparation: Oxy-fuel cutting, plasma basics, grinding and joint preparation.

• Core Welding Processes: SMAW (stick), MIG and TIG fundamentals with practice worksheets.

• Fabrication Techniques: Jigging, assembly, tack welding, fixtures and reading fabrication drawings.

• Quality, Testing & Repairs: Weld inspection, heat treatment basics, non-destructive checks and repair methods.

• Capstone Project & Trade Prep: Produce a fabricated assembly to spec, formal practical test and trade test prep.
  Outcome: Fabricator, welder, structural fitter, site welder.
